Start at the government page
Facts come from the issuing government or institution. The source is linked, so you can read it yourself.
Put a date on it
Fees and thresholds change. Each figure carries the month we checked it and a reminder to confirm on the official page.
Say what the page leaves out
When a page is silent, unreachable or open to question, the guide says so instead of filling the gap.
Is the fee refunded if my visa is refused?
The German mission states that the visa fee is not refunded if the visa is refused. A refused applicant can re-apply, ideally after addressing the reasons given.
